Who we are
We are a team of bid and tender writers committed to helping our clients write winning tenders and bids to secure government and private sector contracts.
Founded in 2007, our team is led by experienced bid and tender writer Jason Cooney. Jason has a Bachelor of Business and Master of Commerce (Game Theory). Jason started his career as a tender and bid writer in a leading law firm and corporate travel company and then established The Tender Team.
All of us come from diverse backgrounds and have experience writing bids and tenders for different industries. Most of us have worked in-house at large corporations and smaller businesses, and we all know how to quickly get our head across a business and industry in order to understand a bid and the win themes needed to win.
We are ethical, honest and straight-forward to deal with. We like to communicate a lot. Therefore, you may get some overcommunication from us – which could be a bit annoying – but that’s about as bad as we get! We don’t charge you for communication so there’s no issue.
We are all humble. We push back when we know something it not right – and always do so respectfully and with your best interests at heart! To put it simply – we want you to win the bid. We are humble and we know that humility is useful when dealing with busy internal stakeholders.
Our writers include Paula, Corey, Deidre and Jeffrey. Our average length of tenue for employees is six years – something we are proud of. The performance metrics we place on ourselves are built around your success. I.e. we have bonuses put in place for all our writers which are payable if the tenders we work on for our clients are successful. We are a competitive bunch of writers that love to help you win.
We would also like to describe ourselves as friendly, helpful and approachable. We think that helps especially for repeat clients (and new clients of course). Once we have worked on a bid for you, we get to know your team and your material. We get to know your business. That means that should you have any queries regarding the tender or strategy, you will feel free to raise the concern and bring them up. It also means that any future tenders we work on with you are seamless and we have great working relationships already with all your personnel.
Where we are
We are located in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth with a number of contract writers who we work with on larger bids based in Brisbane. However, we have consultants in and around Australia and New Zealand. We are seasoned at working remotely and are available around the clock. Our consultants will attend your offices where required and when required. We’re ready to assist, flexible in our approach and dedicated to winning more business for your business.
We do believe in a good mix of working remote and from an office. I.e. we are not a completely remote firm. Our offices are located in Sydney and you will generally find Jason and our core team are at our offices every day. We have also expanded to assist some of our larger client globally. We are proud to be part of the Tsaks Consulting group.

Case Studies – Our Successes
International Law Firm
Incumbent insurance client
Retained and expanded services into two additional practice areas. We drafted in-depth case studies, as well as new profiles for two key partners in the additional practice areas. This was a highly complex tender across multiple lines of insurance and national coverage. The key to this tender response was project management and detail. We excelled in both.
National Cleaning Company
Property developer – speculative
Successful – appointed to three new sites. We worked with a cleaning company to launch a pre-emptive bid in order to demonstrate initiative and intent to the client. The property developer was not expecting the pre-emptive bid, which was designed in such a way that they did not need to go out to tender. This was successful – our client was appointed to three new sites and is now the developer’s exclusive cleaning company.
International Architecture Firm
Chinese State-Owned Corporation
Conduct and drafting of a research report into urban planning in a major Chinese province. Our consultant joined the client’s team in China to lead the project. We worked closely with local Chinese government officials to understand their needs. We then coordinated a research project with our team in Australia, delivering the Chinese officials valuable insights into the Australian system.
Fire Maintenance Company
High net-worth property owner
Successful proposal to undertake fire maintenance work on an annual basis. We assisted with case studies, corporate profiling and deriving alternative fee strategies.
